Our Rabbis

Rabbi Professor Simon Greenberg

Rabbi Simon Greenberg, Vice Chancellor of the Jewish Theological Seminary of America, served as the synagogue's founding rabbi.

Rabbi Dr. Yosef Green – Rabbi Emeritus

Rabbi Green served as spiritual leader of Moreshet Yisrael from 1972 until his retirement in 1993.


Rabbi Dr. Avraham Feder – Rabbi Emeritus

Rabbi Feder, served as rabbi and hazzan of Moreshet Yisrael from 1993, until his retirement in 2003. Before coming to Moreshet Yisrael, Rabbi Feder was the spiritual leader of the Beth Tikvah Synagogue of Toronto.

Rabbi Avinoam Sharon

Avinoam Sharon served as spiritual leader and hazzan of Moreshet Yisrael until September 2005. Avinoam Sharon is a graduate of Columbia University, the Faculty of Law of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, and earned an M.A. in Talmud and Halakha at the Schechter Institute of Jewish Studies. He was ordained by the Schechter Rabbinical Seminary, and earned a diploma in hazzanut from the Jerusalem Institute of Cantorial Art and Music.



Rabbi Adam Frank

In September 2005, the congregation engaged Rabbi Adam Frank as its spiritual leader. Rabbi Frank is a graduate of Emory University and the University of Judasim. He was ordained by the Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies.
